LASER-PRO M15 Review: Reflecting on Progress and Next Steps

In June 2026, the LASER-PRO consortium took part in the project’s M15 review meeting, marking an important moment to reflect on the progress achieved during the first phase of the project.

The review focused on the development of the LASER-PRO Excellence Hub and progress across key project areas, including research and innovation, science-business cooperation, skills development, support for innovative companies and the integration of Ukrainian partners into the European innovation ecosystem.

The meeting showed that LASER-PRO is moving from its initial set-up phase towards a more active and connected ecosystem. The project has already strengthened cooperation between research organisations, industry, innovation agencies, SMEs, start-ups and other relevant stakeholders.

The next phase will focus on further developing joint research and innovation activities, strengthening industry engagement, supporting deep-tech companies and building the long-term sustainability of the Excellence Hub.

The M15 review confirmed that LASER-PRO is progressing towards its ambition to create a European innovation ecosystem where advanced laser research, industrial collaboration, skills development and international cooperation support a more competitive and sustainable Europe.
