WP1: PROJECT MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION

WP1 ensures the smooth execution and strategic coordination of the LASER-PRO project, providing financial, administrative, and operational oversight while maintaining compliance with EU regulations. It establishes the Excellence Hub management structure, facilitates collaboration among 18 consortium partners, and ensures efficient decision-making through General Assembly meetings. WP1 also oversees budget allocation, risk management, and quality assurance, ensuring the project stays on track. By streamlining communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, this work package serves as the backbone of LASER-PRO, driving the project towards impactful results in laser technology innovation.

WP2: EXCELLENCE HUB GOVERNANCE & STRATEGIC GROWTH FOR SUSTAINABILITY

WP2 is at the heart of LASER-PRO’s mission - creating a dynamic, cross-border innovation ecosystem that connects leading researchers, industry pioneers, and policymakers. This work package sets the strategic direction for the project by developing a joint R&I strategy, aligning with EU priorities and regional smart specialization (RIS3). It drives long-term sustainability through action and investment plans, fosters international partnerships, and ensures that cutting-edge laser technologies are translated into real-world industrial applications. By uniting top talent and key stakeholders, WP2 lays the foundation for a competitive and future-ready laser industry in Europe.

Through a series of feasibility studies, WP3 will explore new frontiers in laser innovation, identifying the most promising technologies for real-world applications. These studies will set the strategic direction for future joint research and industry collaborations, ensuring that cutting-edge laser advancements evolve into market-ready solutions. By bridging academic expertise with industrial needs, WP3 accelerates innovation, strengthens Europe’s leadership in photonics, and shapes the future of high-tech industries.

This work package will deliver specialized courses, scientific workshops, and leadership training to strengthen technical knowledge, innovation management, and entrepreneurial skills. A key focus will be on hands-on learning and cross-border collaboration, enabling participants to engage in cutting-edge research and industry-driven projects. Through feasibility studies, WP4 will help identify the most promising areas for further training and specialization, ensuring that the laser ecosystem remains competitive, forward-thinking, and ready to shape the future of high-tech industries.

Through feasibility studies, WP5 will identify key areas where laser technologies can drive industrial innovation, shaping the direction of future science-business partnerships. By organizing networking events, industry roundtables, and technology transfer programs, this work package creates new opportunities for startups, SMEs, and large enterprises to benefit from the latest advancements in laser-based solutions. By launching open calls for innovative companies, providing expert consultancy on business development and funding opportunities, and fostering cross-border collaboration, WP6 ensures that Europe’s laser-driven innovations don’t just stay in the lab—they become market-leading technologies. WP7 is dedicated to empowering Ukraine’s research and innovation community, integrating it into Europe’s high-tech landscape. This work package focuses on mentoring, training, and knowledge transfer, helping Ukrainian research institutions, startups, and industry partners develop their expertise in laser technologies and innovation management. Through feasibility studies, WP7 will identify key areas for collaboration, ensuring that Ukraine’s ecosystem aligns with European R&I priorities. By organizing workshops, study visits, and networking events, this work package fosters stronger cross-border partnerships, enabling Ukrainian innovators to access new opportunities, funding, and expertise. WP7 is a bridge between Ukraine and Europe’s leading innovation hubs, strengthening regional resilience, economic growth, and scientific excellence.
