LASER-PRO: Baltic Photonics 2026: B2B Meetings

On 25 September 2026, the “Baltic Photonics 2026 MATCHMAKING” business networking event held in Vilnius brought together representatives of the Lithuanian and international photonics ecosystem. During the hybrid event, 61 bilateral meetings were arranged to discuss new business contacts, technology transfer, scientific cooperation, and opportunities for joint projects. The event was organized by the Lithuanian coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network, the Lithuanian Innovation Centre, together with the TOOLAS Laser and Engineering Technologies Cluster.
An International Event: From Vilnius to Online Meetings
A total of 85 participants registered for the Baltic Photonics 2026 MATCHMAKING event, of whom 71 were approved to participate in the business matchmaking sessions. Altogether, participants scheduled 61 bilateral B2B meetings, including 17 held remotely.
At the Visoriai Information Technology Park in Vilnius, 28 pre-registered participants attended meetings in person, joined by four additional participants who registered on site. Other participants had the opportunity to establish business contacts remotely.
The international scope of the event and participant outreach were supported by Enterprise Europe Network co-organizers from 16 countries: the Czech Republic, Portugal, Sweden, Greece, France, Austria, Slovenia, Estonia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Italy, Türkiye, Poland, Germany, Latvia, and Serbia.
Focus on Concrete Partnerships
The B2B meetings brought together companies, startups, spin-off companies, clusters, associations, research and academic institutions, and other members of the photonics ecosystem. Key topics included semiconductors, lasers, photonics, optics, and the application of these technologies in other sectors.
During individual meetings, participants were able to seek potential buyers and suppliers, identify research partners, discuss technology transfer and international business cooperation opportunities, and explore partnerships for joint projects.
Participant feedback also demonstrated the value of the event: nine respondents rated their meetings as extremely useful, while one participant described them as very useful.
The B2B matchmaking event was organized as part of the “Laser PRO” project, funded under the Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No. 101186838). More information about the Laser PRO Excellence Hub is available on the project website: laserpro-eh.eu.
